My Town Shoot Out -- Aged & Weathered

This week's theme was Aged & Weathered.

A weathered barn on one of the backroads.

Remember the building that was being rehabbed from the Doors & Windows post? Well, this is the same building! I adore the old signage graphics.

An old feed store on one of the back roads.

Check out the old gas pumps!

My Town Shoot Out -- Doors & Windows

This week's theme was doors & windows.

This is a window from a church in Rogersville, MO. It was a dreary, rainy day when I saw this and thought it was interesting. I like the Argyle-esque diamond pattern, rather than it being a scene.

These are from a building that's being restored in downtown Springfield.

A couple closer shots.

This one is from a restored Victorian era building that's for sale. Quite the interesting building...

Friday Town Shoot Out -- Reflections

This week's theme was reflection. I had a ton of ideas, alas, none of them came to fruition. Then, as I was having lunch at my favorite Tea Room - Specialty Sweets in Rogersville, MO - it hit me! There were mirrors everywhere!

This is the front counter, where Brenda (the owner) tempts you with baked goods when you walk in. Actually, it's a reflection of the front counter from the HUGE mirror on the opposite wall.

Another view of the same thing.

Part of the decor.

Friday Town Shoot Out -- Yard Objects

This one was challenging for me, as I don't have a yard to speak of, so no real yard objects. I grabbed my camera, hopped into the car, and off we went!

With a happy accident, we ended up at Rosewood Farms .

Part of their outdoor breezeway. A cute little gardening hutch.

One of the many tables & chairs sitting outside. Also in the breezeway.

One of the banks of flowers in bloom. So pretty!

Alas, we didn't get any chocolate, as we were afraid it would get too melty in the car. .

Friday Town Shoot Out -- Textures

Stormclouds

Living in the southern Midwest, (some say south, some say midwest. I combine the two.) we get intense storms that roll through with nearly no warning. This is the aftermath, or possibly just a short break between downpours.

As I was trying to focus my camera and check the cloud pictures, I saw this in my viewfinder. This is the edge of my driveway, and thought it was an interesting shot.
